Down's Syndrome Awareness Week
Published: Friday, 31st March 2017
Last week to celebrate Down's Syndrome Awareness Week, Get On Down's held a charity breakfast bonanza in aid of PSDS (Providing Support for families with Down's Syndrome www.psds.info).
We invited friends and family as well as our children's therapists, Sutton Information, Advice and Support Service and Portage.
Everyone was encouraged to wear odd socks to illustrate that it is OK to be different. We had coffee, croissants and it was a great relaxed opportunity to chat to parents and professionals together as well as raising money for a fabulous charity. PSDS is a Down's syndrome charity which offers services in Surrey and East Sussex. They run therapy based playgroups for pre school children, after school drama as well as specialist training services and teaching advice.
As you can see, we had a great turn out!
